Why Does Social Responsibility Matter?
Corporate Social Responsibility aims to fix some of the biggest problems in the world today, such as climate change and poverty. Socially Responsible businesses have an increased effect on the world around them. They practice the Triple Bottom Line, in which social and environment improvement is of the same level of importance as fiscal profits. According to the United States Census, 15% of the United States' population is living in poverty. According to the Guardian, because of climate change, 2012 was one of the ten hottest years on record. Something must be done.
