Environmental Impacts of Social Responsibility
According to NASA, the global temperature has risen an average of 1.4 degrees fahrenheit since 1880. The global average sea level has risen 4-8 inches over the past century due to melting of the ice caps. If nothing is done, the global average temperature could increase storm intensities and cause catastrophic events.

The problem lies in the pollution caused by industry. The increase in Greenhouse gases emitted from industrial production and burning fossil fuels has caused the effects mentioned above. Since businesses were the largest contributors to global warming, it is only fair that they are socially responsible and make efforts to soften the impact made on the environment by reducing their carbon footprint.
